Before, during and after the visit
- Before. Send the checklist a week ahead and ask for the document set in writing. Confirm who hosts you - a production or QC manager, not only sales.
- During. Follow one model through the line from components to packed carton. Ask for live demos: an ignition cycle, a leak check. Match certificate names to the model in your order, not to the sample wall.
- After. Score each area pass or fail, list missing documents with deadlines, and place a trial order before committing volumes.
Five warning signs that justify pausing
One: the company name on the license differs from the account receiving your payment. Two: testing is claimed but no stations or equipment are shown. Three: staff decline a live leak or ignition test in front of you. Four: test reports exist but carry a different factory or model name. Five: export cartons for flammable-gas articles look like retail packaging, with no dangerous-goods paperwork behind them.
