Comparing models across suppliers usually means assembling numbers from five spec sheets that measure different things. Within one platform the job is easier - and more honest - because the shared specifications stay constant and only the meaningful variables move: body length, weight, materials and task. That is what this chart fixes.

The short answer

Pick by reach and by job. The 32 cm Compact Torch 8010 is the kitchen and charcoal tool. The 60 cm Standard Torch 8012 is the commercial workhorse for searing volume, outdoor BBQ and farm tasks. The 76 cm Long-Reach Torch 8016 keeps the flame at a working distance - the dedicated weed-control model. And the Five-Star Burner 8020 is not a torch at all, but a 16.8 kW portable gas burner for group camp cooking.

The four-model chart

Body sizes and weights are factory figures. Flame up to ~50 cm and up to ~1,300°C are common specifications across the platform, with the flame varying about ±10 cm by altitude, pressure and temperature.

Shared platform specifications

All four models share the same engineering baseline: electronic ignition rated for 5,000+ ignitions, a windproof flame, knob flame adjustment, and an operating range of -30°C to 30°C. They run on butane and high-altitude canisters with the European-style valve interface - other canister formats require the adapter specified for the model - and deliver a flame of up to ~1,300°C reaching about 50 cm at high setting. On a 450 g canister - purchased locally per local regulations - expect roughly one hour on high flame or three to four hours on low. Every unit also passes 20+ factory tests before packing.

ZTZ-8020: the burner in the line

The Five-Star Burner 8020 deserves its own paragraph because it plays in a different category: a portable five-star gas burner for cooking, not a flame tool. It delivers 16.8 kW through five copper heads with 40 flame ports, protected by double wind protection, and its pure copper control valve works counterclockwise for more flame, clockwise for less, press-lock for off. The 600 mm separate hose accepts high-altitude canisters, long canisters and gas-tank cylinders - bulk fuel for base-camp cooking. At 20°C room temperature it brings 2 liters of water to a boil in about 3 minutes 50 seconds. Fuel canisters are purchased locally according to local regulations.

How to read the chart

Start in the task column, not the spec column. If your customers sear and light charcoal at home, the 32 cm body is the tool. Commercial kitchens, BBQ stands and farm work justify the 60 cm Standard's 860 g of build. Anything that benefits from distance - flame weeding above all - belongs to the 76 cm Long-Reach, which is also the lightest torch of the three at 550 g. If the program is group camping, the 8020 replaces a row of single-burner stoves. Weight decides how the tool carries; reach decides how it works; everything else is shared.
